Discuss different wave types that are produced by an earthquake, and summarize how they travel through the Earth
Describe the instruments that are used to measure the size of an earthquake
Describe different methods of reporting the size of an earthquake
Understand how triangulation is used to pinpoint the location of an earthquake
Identify areas of California that have a high probability of a major earthquake
