Name: Fred Molitor

Title: Part-Time Faculty

Email: fred.molitor@csus.edu

I have 30 years of experience in designing, implementing, and reporting on research and evaluation studies. My doctoral education included a minor in Statistics, and I have been the lead statistician on over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and 80 abstracts and papers accepted for presentation at national and international conferences.

My 30 year teaching experience includes graduate and undergraduate statistics and research methodology courses, specifically in the area of survey research. I have extensive experience with the activities required for evaluation design and survey data collection, including sampling, training of staff in study protocols, constructing and pilot testing forms and questionnaires, and developing scientifically-sound designs with consideration of the demands and skills of program staff. I have been the principal investigator for multi-year state-wide surveillance and media evaluation surveys.

I have worked with multi-disciplinary teams on studies collaborating with Federal and State agencies, universities, hospital faculty and staff, local health departments, and persons from community-based organizations. The target for these studies has commonly been persons from hard-to-reach and recruit populations.

From 2011 to 2023, I was a member of the California Health and Human Services Agency’s Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects.
