Amphibians

Due to the generally dry habitats on campus, you are unlikely to encounter too many amphibians.  There are no known instances of salamanders on campus, though diverse salamanders are found to the west, north and east of the Central valley. Similarly, many of the frogs found in California are either in the mountains (coast, north, east).  Possibles: Western Spadefoot toad,  The most likely amphibian to be found on campus is the Pacific Chorus Frog (also known as the Pacific Tree Frog), the Western Toad or possibly a Bullfrog.
