KIERAN EDWARDS AND DAVID GRANICHER SACRAMENTO STATE MEN’S ROWING AT THE HEAD OF THE LAGOON REGATTA, KIERAN EDWARDS AND DAVID GRANICHER LED MEN’S ROWING TO A GOLD MEDAL IN THE LIGHT-WEIGHT 8 AND IN THE LIGHT-WEIGHT 4. THEY ALSO TOOK 2ND PLACE IN THE MEN’S PAIR IN THEIR 3RD RACE IN 4 HOURS, ROWING OVER 30,000 METERS IN TOTAL DURING THE REGATTA. To the left is a photo of Kieran Edwards and David Granicher. SACRAMENTO STATE SKI AND SNOW TEAM THE SKI & SNOWBOARD TEAM ACCOMPLISHED A LOT IN NOVEMBER. THEY SPONSORED A VENDOR ON CAMPUS, RAISING A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF FUNDS FOR THEIR CLUB. THEY DONATED THEIR TIME BY PROVIDING COMMUNITY SERVICE WITH LOAVES AND FISHES THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. THEY ALSO PARTICIPATED IN “SPORT CLUB TAKEOVER DAY” AND ATTENDED “COMPETITION OF THE MONTH.” WITH THEIR COMPETITION SEASON RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER, THEY CURRENTLY RANK 2ND IN SPORT CLUB COUNCIL POINTS. THE CLUB IS LED BY A STRONG GROUP OF COMMITTED OFFICERS AND AN OUTSTANDING PRESIDENT IN TAYLER GROLL. HER STRONG LEADERSHIP AND COMMITMENT TO HER CLUB AND HER SPORT PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR HER CLUB TO EXCEL. To the right is a photo of the Ski and Snow Team. MATT RAY SACRAMENTO STATE BASEBALL CLUB MATT RAY HAS BEEN AN IMPRESSIVE OFFICER SINCE HE BECAME PRESIDENT OF THE BASEBALL CLUB THIS FALL. HE CONTINUES TO IMPRESS THE SPORT CLUBS PROGRAM EVERY SINGLE MONTH IN TERMS OF TAKING THE INITIATIVE, COMMUNICATING, AND FOLLOWING THROUGH ON HIS RESPONSIBILITIES. HE EMBODIES WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A LEADER BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD THROUGH HARD WORK, DEDICATION, AND EFFORT. HIS ABILITY TO BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS ON CAMPUS, OTHER UNIVERSITIES, AND HIS LEAGUE/GOVERNING BODY IS INVALUABLE AS HE LOOKS TO TAKE THE BASEBALL CLUB TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
