If your semester GPA or your Sacramento State GPA falls below 2.0, you are placed on Academic Probation. This should be taken seriously because it means you are in danger of being disqualified from the University. Here are some suggestions if you are on probation:

See an advisor in the Academic Advising Center, Lassen Hall 1012;
• See an advisor in your major (some majors require this with registration holds);
• Repeat courses in which you have F, WU and, in some cases, D grades;
• Work fewer hours at your job;
• Take fewer units.

Students on probation are more likely to avoid being disqualified if they make significant changes in their life. “Trying harder” or “having a better attitude” seldom makes much difference. See an advisor soon.
