CSU, UC to require COVID-19 vaccinations for people returning to campuses in the fall

Sacramento State will be joining all universities in the California State University and University of California systems in requiring students, faculty and staff to receive COVID-19 vaccinations as a condition of returning to campus in the fall.

A news release from the office of CSU Chancellor Jospeh I. Castro unveiled details of the move. It was shared with the Sac State community by University President Robert S. Nelsen.

This is the latest development for Sac State, which has been delivering vaccinations at its on-campus site to the University community and the public since February. It continues to be an important part of Sacramento County's overall vaccination effort.

Last week, the University announced that it would make vaccinations available to all Sac State students.

The complete CSU statement is available on the CSU website.
