Sacramento State will be buzzing with Homecoming activities Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, to welcome alumni, friends, and future Hornets to campus.
Homecoming Week is a celebration for the University community and the Sacramento region to show their Sac State pride. With dozens of events on and off campus – highlighted by Saturday's football contest with Idaho State – there's no better time to put on your green and gold and say "Go Hornets!"
Events include:
- Student Dance Marathon, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, Residence Hall Quad: The Student Alumni Association hosts an evening of games, food, entertainment, and, of course, dancing to benefit the Hornet Proud Fund, which supports students in need of emergency financial assistance.
- Future Hornet Day, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Hornet Bookstore Plaza: Prospective Sac State students can tour the campus, meet with faculty members, and attend information sessions on admissions, housing, financial aid, and more. Register in advance at csus.edu/admissions.
- Homecoming Festival, 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Leslie and Anita Harper Alumni Center parking lot: The family-friendly festival features booths, live music and entertainment, Kids Zone activities, and food trucks. ASI Hometown Heroes will collect nonperishable food items at the festival to benefit the ASI Food Pantry. Prizes will be awarded to the best student and best alumni/community tailgate. Tailgate space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
