Michael completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at California State University, Sacramento in May 2005 and joined the ISR as a Graduate Research Assistant in the autumn of 2006. In 2010 Michael earned his Master of Arts in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento. During his time at the ISR, Michael has developed a broad background in applied research through his work on various projects including the California Elections Data Archive (CEDA) and the California Respiratory Care Practitioner Workforce Study. Current research interests include criminology and the relationships between socioeconomic status and educational outcomes. Michael joined the Institute’s staff of full-time research analysts in February 2010.
