Student Tech Center

As faculty, do you ever find yourself spending time guiding students through basic computer or software use, when you would rather be concentrating on your subject?  Help is available!  The Student Technology Center supports students in the use of technology required to complete assignments on a drop-in basis or by appointment.  In addition, numerous workshops are held throughout the semester to teach students Microsoft Office, Adobe CS 5, iLife, SPSS, web page creation, and other topics that meet the specific needs of faculty . For example, a Graduate Student Thesis Formatting workshop series was developed to give students the tools needed to properly format a thesis that meets Graduate Studies’ requirements.

The Center also works with faculty directly to support the use of technology in teaching and learning.  For example, the STC can create a custom class targeted to your class objectives.  To speak to staff about particular needs, please send an email to or call Maureen McQuestion at 916.278.2315 or Corrin Mattos @916.278.2261.

For current hours and other information, go to  The Student Technology Center is located in ARC 3007 and workshops are held in ARC 3008.
