Parking Information For Move-In Weekend

Get ready! The beginning of fall semester is almost here!

During Move-In Weekend, it will be very busy around the residence hall complex. Many residents will be unloading and moving in at the same time. Please utilize spaces close to the buildings for unloading only.

In order to keep traffic moving and allow a smooth check-in for everyone, please unload your vehicle promptly. Once your belongings have been moved into your building, your vehicle(s) should be moved further out in the parking lot area so that other residents can park to unload. We appreciate your cooperation in this process.

As a courtesy on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Move-In weekend (8/30/2013 – 9/2/2013), vehicles parked in the residence hall parking lots will not be required to have a valid Sac State parking permit. Parking lots will return to their normal permit designation on Monday evening at midnight

All vehicles must be parked in valid parking spaces. When using designated handicapped parking spaces, a valid state handicapped license plate or permit must be displayed. Do not park in fire lanes, on sidewalks, grass, or any unauthorized area even for a few minutes. For the safety of the community, fire lanes must remain clear at all times.

On Friday, August 30th, watch for volunteers who can assist in directing you to a nearby parking area where you can leave your car while you finish unpacking and getting settled.
