    College Assistance Migrant Program

    "A Home Away From Home"
CAMP is a federally funded program designed to help students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds succeed at Sacramento State. CAMP facilitates transition from high school to college and offers first-year support services to develop the skills necessary to persist and graduate from college. CAMP strives to be "a home away from home" for its students.

  • Mentorship

Mentorship is a crucial component of the success of college students. Effective mentorship relationships help to establish short-term and long-term goals, uncover passions, and share knowledge and skills for growth.

  • Tutoring

Tutoring is an effective means by which students can stay on track with their academics and even advance in their studies. Tutoring encourages higher levels of thinking, increases motivation to learn, increases a student’s ability to manage their own learning and study strategies, and increases subject specific and related general knowledge.
