Welcome Golden Graduates

Golden Grads Reunion2015 Golden Grads Reunion
Friday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sacramento State Alumni Center

In 1959 Sac State students paid 25 cents per gallon to fill their tanks and drive to class. If you wanted to see a movie after an exhausting day of tests, that would be one dollar. Times have certainly changed for graduates of this era, many of whom will be returning to campus for their 50 year reunion.

The Golden Grads Reunion is an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association during Homecoming week. The luncheon celebrates the lives of alumni who graduated from Sacramento State 50 or more years ago. Graduates, family members as well as University faculty, staff, and friends are invited to enjoy a lunch and a walk down memory lane that includes viewing memorabilia and photos.

The 2015 reunion will celebrate the classes of 1949-1965 on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Sacramento State Alumni Center.

Homecoming 2015

Golden Grads join us for the Homecoming Festival and BIG GAME.

Just one day following your Golden Grads Reunion, you can take part in what is always a festive and spirited event at Sacramento State. Homecoming draws thousands of Hornet supporters, students and alumni alike. The Festival begins at 3 p.m. and includes live music, tailgating, food concessions, and campus and community booths. The Homecoming Festival is a family event with fun for all ages. Golden Grads who wish to attend will receive complimentary tickets to the football game.

Simply check the box next to when you register if you plan to attend the Homecoming Festival and football game on Saturday, October 31. Your tickets will be provided to you at the reunion luncheon on October 30. If you’re unable to attend the reunion, game tickets will be available at the Alumni Association booth on Saturday, October 31. (The Association booth will be located just outside the north entrance of the Alumni Center.)

We hope to see you there!

Submit a Memory

We are also asking our Golden Grads to share memories of their days as a student at Sacramento State to be included in the Golden Grads program. Whether a story about your favorite professor or the time you met your college sweetheart, we would like to hear about it! Please submit your memory online.  We are also collecting photographs. Please submit your photos to alumni@csus.edu

Memories Lost and Found

Lost: Every year there are a number of your classmates that we are unable to invite because we’ve lost contact. Take a look and see if you can help us get more of your classmates to the reunion.

Found: Sometimes in answering ‘where is my classmate?’ we are the bearer of sad news. Remember classmates no longer with us except in our hearts.
