Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarship Award
Faculty Senate Analyst: Kathy Garcia
Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships awards, each equal to the cost of registration fees for spring semester, are made each year to students from funds generated from annual contributions by faculty and funds generated from the Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships and Faurot Endowment Funds. A minimum of 3 awards are made to undergraduate students and a minimum of 1 to a post-baccalaureate student, as available funding permits.
The awards recognize academic achievement and promise of continued academic success, service and contributions to the student’s major department, college, the university and/or the community at-large, and articulation of future educational/career goals. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Faculty Endowment for Student Scholarships Committee and recognized at an awards ceremony at a Faculty Senate meeting.
