ABOUT ABA STRATEGIC PLANNING & QI

Strategic Planning & Quality Improvement (SPQI) is ABA's planning and quality improvement (QI) unit, responsible for strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives and training activities for the division. SPQI develops and has oversight for ABA’s comprehensive website, and publishes the annual report of accomplishments and other strategic communication products. The unit is also responsible for the division's staff recognition program, which includes awards, an appreciation blog and a variety of venues for recognizing staff achievements.

SPQI is the liaison to the Chancellor’s Office Quality Initiatives Program, by coordinating CSU-supported improvement activities for the campus, communicating and supporting strategies and activities related to:

  • Quality concepts training and education
  • Cross-campus collaboration and information sharing
  • Increasing efficiencies and effectiveness and identification of best practices
